Joan Sabatino
(August 7, 1941-October 16, 2007)

Joan Marie Sabatino (nee Cunningham), 66, died October 16, 2007 after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Mechanicville, Joan was a registered nurse for over 40 years, many of them at Leonard Hospital in Troy. She was a voracious reader who often could be seen with a book in her lap. She also enjoyed all of the social activities and Mass at St. Peter's Church in Troy, often taking trips with other members and friends. Another great joy in her life was her eight grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Johnson of Dalton Georgia, Laura Sabatino of Mechanicville, and Lorraine Maloney of Cohoes, and one son, William Sabatino of Mechanicville. Joan is also survived by two sisters, Judy Johnson of Arizona and Jane Morrison of Mechanicville.

Viewing was at the Daniel Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Avenue, Troy on October 19, 2007 from 8:30 am to 10:15 am. Joan was a member of Society of Our Lady of Good Success and the rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 9:40. A Requiem Mass followed at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Troy.

Interment was in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville.
